Erectile Dysfunction Medicines Seized In Glengormley

Erectile dysfunction medicines seized in Glengormley

8 April 2011

Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of Health authorities during a search of a home in Glengormley.

A guy was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications via the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the Public Prosecution .

The search was carried out by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: “It is important that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be unsafe.

“These kinds of products being sold, normally online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their safety.

“You merely do not know what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health.”
